Workforce Report of the Alberta Region Health & Cultural Support Program

The report highlights the dedication of Alberta's Indigenous community-based workers, formerly known as the Indian Residential School (IRS) Support workforce and now part of the Trauma-Informed Health and Cultural Support Program (TIHCSP).

These workers play a crucial role in providing culturally relevant healing resources to Indigenous communities, addressing psycho-social, emotional, and cultural needs stemming from colonial traumas.

Recommendations advocate for sustainable funding to support workforce coordination and training, alongside fostering collaborative initiatives with governmental and non-profit organizations to integrate services effectively and ensure community-driven program development.
